The 80GB Playstation 3 (PS3) has been officially launched in India and at a lesser-than-expected price of Rs 25,990 ($520). So if you have been waiting to get the PS3, now is the time!

Sony India has also informed us that the new 80GB PS3 comes bundled with the latest Resistance 2 game, for no extra cost. In the market, the Resistance 2 game is priced at Rs 2900 ($58).

Recently I received the Nokia E71 from a friends, just to play with. Playing with phones and gadgets has always been my passion. Being a Nokia N95 (8GB) user, i found the E71 experience to be different yet very interesting and exciting. Loads of shortcut keys, quicker user interface, awesome battery life and a great QWERTY keyboard which is rather easy to get used to. Mozilla Firefox 3.1 Alpha 2 is now available for download for testers and developers. Remember its still in its Alpha stage of development which could mean lots of bugs and even crashes.  Most improvements are barely visible as most of the focus has gone into improving the overall performance of the browser. Yet there are some new features that makes the upgrade worth it, when the stable version finally releases in a few weeks.

List of some of the new features in Mozilla Firefox 3.1.

• Tabs can now be dragged and placed in a new window. Similar to the Google Chrome browser we tested yesterday.
• The switch tab feature very similar to Windows Alt+Tab will now be integrated into Firefox. Currently Ctrl+Tab tab switch is available as an add-on for Firefox 3.
• Private Browsing mode similar to the Incognito Mode in Google Chrome.
• Tag Auto complete
• New HTML 5 and CSS 3 elements.
• Bulk tagging support
• Improved compatibility check during upgrades.
• Lots of performance improvements.

Google has released its eagerly awaited browser named ‘Chrome’. The browser although still in its ‘beta’ stage of development is very much stable. The installation was pretty straight forward. Go to google.com/chrome and download the setup file which is about 475KB. Run the setup file, installation took about 20 seconds. All the bookmarks, passwords were imported from my default browser Mozilla Firefox. So in about a min (if your quick) your all set to play with the Google Chrome.

The first thing I noticed was the Chrome was much quicker than most browsers out there. Most of the sites I browsed looked normal and loaded quick. Flash pages load without any issues, there is no need to reinstall / update flash. (more…)

We were quite suprised when informed that the Nokia N96 has been launched in India!!

According to India’s leading Business daily The Economic Times, The Nokia N96 has been launched 2 months before its worldwide release to take on the Apple iPhone 3G which releases in the country on 22nd August 2008. (more…)
