New Apple iPod Shuffle

Apple’s new iPod Shuffle 4GB might make the previous generation shuffles look huge in comparison. But frankly we dont like it one bit, the reason being, the playback controls are built into the terrible Apple headphones that are bundled along with the device.

What it basically means is, if you plug-in a third party headphone, the shuffle will play music alright but without any playback control i.e you can’t increase – decrease the volume nor change tracks.

This move from Apple also means, third party headphone manufacturers will have to pay Apple for the authentication chips.. the price of which would most definitely be passed on to the customers.

So what does it mean to a Ipod Shuffle fan, who hates the bundled earphone that has difficultly staying into most ears?

  • Inability to use your fav old headphones with the new shuffle or use it without playback control.
  • Or shell out extra money to buy premium Ipod Shuffle compatible headphones.

We suggest, get the old iPod Shuffle!
